SEBS - THERMOLAST®K

THERMOLAST® K materials have been developed to meet current market demands.
Availables special food-grade THERMOLAST® K - TPE, as well as materials that are engineered to meet the requirements of the automotive industry.
THERMOLAST® K compounds can be processed in many different ways: injection molding, extrusion or blow molding
These serially produced compounds are based on hydrogenated styrene block copolymers and used in virtually all industries.

THERMOLAST® K advantage:
1) Co-injection molding in combination with many materials such as ABS, PC, PBT, PETG, ASA, SAN, PMMA, PET, PA 6/6.6/12, POM, PS, HIPS
2) Extrusion-optimized compounds, also suitable for film extrusion and hot-melt processing
3) 0 shore A to 66 shore D
4) Excellent dyeability
5) High elongation at break values and crack growth resistance
6) Elastic at low temperatures (to -42 °C)
7)High thermal stability (to 125 °C)
8)Excellent resistance against UV light, ozone and weather damage
9) Kalahari and Florida tested
10) Approved for drinking water applications; series with FDA, BfR and (EU) 10/2011 certificates
11) Recyclable
12) Free of latex and PVC

THERMOLAST® M have especially been developed for applications in medical and pharmaceutical sectors.
All medical compounds are tested according to ISO 10993-5 (Cytotoxicity) and listed as Drug Master File.
Selected medical compounds are tested according to described medical basic approvals: USP Class VI (chapter 88), USP 661 (in vitro), ISO 10993-4 (Haemolysis, indirect in human blood), ISO 10993-10 (Intracutaneous Irritation) and ISO 10993-11 (Acute Systemic Toxicity).

With HIPEX®, KRAIBURG TPE succeeded in developing a completely new class of material. The high-performance TPE sets new standards and offers huge advantages over conventional thermoplastic elastomers.

First of all, it is resistant against high temperature and chemicals. Continuous use is possible at temperatures around
150 °C. The new compounds are also resistant to oils and grease.

One of the advantages of High Performance TPE lies in the thermoplastic processing which makes time-intensive curing superfluous. The coinjection processing produces a mechanical anchoring and no extra assembly step is required.
Thermoplastics processors can now explore fields of applications that have up to now been the reserve of rubber processors. Elastomer processors on the other hand have the opportunity to reduce their production costs, thus becoming more competitive.
